why gays shouldn't marry

Read this. If you're confused, look for sarcasm. ;)

Top 12 Reasons Why Homosexuals Shouldn't Be Allowed to Marry

1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like left-handedness.

2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.

3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

6. Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

10. Children can never suceed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

11. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to things like cars or longer lifespans.

12. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "seperate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Seperate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

an interesting week

It's been a long week, kinda. I mean... Seriously. I'm so glad it's finally the weekend, but the problem is that the weekend is only one day long. Bleh for short weekends.

So last weekend I went to Twin. I had a good time... but I didn't sleep. Seriously... barely at all. I stayed up late and got up early, every day. Then this week... same thing. Now, I don't know about all of you, but I have to sleep at least 7 hours or I'm a zombie. I mean, I can handle it if I only get a few hours of sleep one day, maybe even two... but after a few days of that it'll just hit me like a 2x4. It's bad. My behavior turns sorta unpredictable. I can manage when I have to... but eventually I just need sleep. Last night I pushed myself to stay up because I was surfing online. That was dumb, because then I was late to work this morning (and I didn't have to be here til 11am... so that's bad, lol.) I am the only one working today, so the store opened a few minutes late. No one was waiting or anything, so that's good.

We are slow today. That's a bummer. It's a Saturday and it's really slow. We've been doing ok here in the new store, but it's not quite as good as I expected. I certainly can't figure out why... for me, T-Mobile is a no-brainer. Great phones and the most WHENEVER minutes. We have the most affordable rate plans of any of the carriers... GET MORE for your money. Plus, we're straight forward. That seems to be a problem that's worsening in wireless. Plans that aren't quite what they appear to be, lots of additional charges, and somewhat deceptive advertising. You don't know exactly what it is that you're getting. But that's not true with T-Mobile, you know just what you're getting and what you have to pay for. IT'S SIMPLE! COME VISIT ME AND SIGN UP! Lol. Ok. No more sales pitching on my blog. Forgive me.

So I met this really nice guy named Sam and we're going to go hang out when I get off work, that is if I don't fall asleep. Lol. I better not, because I ditched him last night because I was tired. Last night was kinda fun though (before I got tired.) I went and walked around down town just for the heck of it. I wanted to be alone and just have a little time to myself. I parked by the capital and then walked all the way to the US Bank building to use the ATM. They were having the first weekend showing of Star Wars III at the Egyptian, so it was kinda crazy down there. So then I walked and had dinner at the Pita Pit. OMG!! GOOD FOOD! Lol. Then I walked back to the M and had a Chai... yummy... then I walked back to my car and drove to Travis' house, yelled at him for being silly and then fell asleep on his bed while Sam was texting me. That was when I decided it was bed time, but then I went home and got online and kept myself awake! DUMB! hehehe.

Alright, enough writing for now. I'd love to say I have to go help a customer... but the store is empty.
